Meet Your Whole Life Doula.

Being of service as a Doula means that I will be closely involved with you and your family for the coming months. Therefore, although this is not about me, I would like to take a moment to share a little bit of myself with you to ensure that we will be a good fit.

I am passionate about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, child development, the mind/body connection; and ensuring that everyone feels as physically, emotionally, and energetically prepared for the dying process as possible. I believe that with proper support we can all live more intentional lives.

I believe in inspiring you to have the most ideal experience for YOU. This means, I do not pass judgement or preach my own beliefs. I feel that it is my job to empower you and support your decisions, remind you of your goals when appropriate, and help you adjust mentally and physically to any variations to your plans.

I am a birth, postpartum, and end of life doula, a yoga teacher and trainer, and an author. I have my BA in Psychology and a background in behavioral intervention, teaching, and childcare. I hope to use my background and knowledge to inspire people to live with intention, connection and empowerment. I am constantly exploring ways to enhance my knowledge and am a committed life-long learner. Most importantly, I look forward to meeting your needs, being an extra set of hands, and providing you selfless service during this eventful time in your life.

Let's Get Personal

I have always had a passion for the childbearing and birthing process as well as maintaining a sense of Self through the parenting journey. I am a mother of two, a boy and a girl who are 10 years apart. I had a belly birth with my son and home water birth with my daughter. I feel blessed to have experienced both ends of the birthing spectrum and feel it made me more capable of supporting various birth journeys.

Two of my favorite people died twelve years apart. I had the great honor of being by their sides through the dying process. A seed was planted then and I realized that I feel just as passionate about helping people leave this existence as I do about brining them into it.

I feel that I am down-to-Earth and personable. I can read the room, assess situations and decide what I can do to be most helpful.  I love all people and live my yoga. I truly want to be there for you and help you foster the pregnancy, birth, life, and end of life story of your dreams!

We recently had the pleasure of having Ziya from DOYA Doula Collaborative as our doula. I was pregnant with my 3rd and just moved to the Astoria area. Not having any family or friends nearby left me in a pickle not knowing who would watch my two older children while I was giving birth. That’s where DOYA came into the picture. I reached out and let them know my wants and needs- sibling support being high on the list. They sent a couple of matches over and Ziya seemed like a great fit. My oldest is on the spectrum and she has experience with special needs children. Throughout the end of my pregnancy, I met with her a couple of times. She had lots of questions as to what I want and need from her. Fast forward to my birth and Ziya was amazing. She came and checked on me when I told her I was in early labor and was available for me at every turn. She beautifully juggled being a gentle hand on my shoulder when going through tough contractions and tending to my boys and their needs. I felt comfort in knowing she was focused on my boys so I could do the tough work of laboring without having to think about tending to my older kids. After I had my newest little boy she stayed at the birth center and continued to tend to me and my entire family. Going above and beyond to care for the boys, checking in on me and even holding the newest addition while we ate take out dinner at the birth center. I’m grateful she was able to be a part of my journey and attend the birth of my third baby coming Earth side.
